Thanks to the Student Government Association, undergraduate students facing food insecurity or a financial emergency can receive 10 free dining hall meals. This program is for emergencies only and is not a replacement for financial aid or a long-term meal plan.
Note: the meal swipe program is not available during most breaks when the dining halls are closed.
Campus Pantry
The UMD Campus Pantry offers good quality and nutritious emergency food in a safe space to UMD undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff experiencing food insecurity. The Campus Pantry is located in the lower level of the South Campus Dining Hall Building.
